Tuesday-Finally Getting Toms and Camp Drama

On Tuesday, I went to camp. At camp, we were setting up groups to perform. I was paired with (by choice) two girls named Morgan and Serena. Our song was called 'Remembering' and it is actually very catchy. I am also singing 'My Best Friend' song as a solo at the end of the performance. There was a girl named Sophia who was also at the camp, and she was kind of a brat. She stole Morgan's guitar pick and put tape all over my music sheet just because we wouldn't let her use the dressing room to practice because we were using the dressing room to practice. Oh my gosh, she just made me so mad! But at the end of the day, a camp instructor talked to Sophia and she pretended to "find" the pick. I can't believe she still lied to us! Even though we got Morgan's pick back. But she still lied!! After camp, we went to the mall and looked in a bunch of stores for Toms shoes (again) and finally, in a store called Journey's, we found Toms that fit!! They were turquoise in color and they actually fit!

Running Towards Forest Fires

I'm so very sad for the families of the 19 firefighters who lost their lives fighting the fire in Arizona. It amazes me the way some people can put themselves in danger to help others. I'm in awe. They truly are heroes.

We're heading right towards the area currently consumed by the 0-percent-contained fire. Parts of the highway we need to travel are closed. We will be in Sedona, AZ from the 12th-19th and the Grand Canyon from the 19th - 21st. Our camping plans in New Mexico have changed since many campgrounds are closed due to fires. We will not be allowed a campfire when camping at the Grand Canyon. However, we are hoping to save on space in the car by bringing sheets instead of sleeping bags. Our 15-degree bags will not be necessary in 100+ degree heat.

Monday- At Indiana

Today I started my second camp, which is in Bloomington, Indiana. It is a all girls camp that is a rock and roll camp, and you get to write your own song, add music to it, record it, and then perform it. It was actually pretty fun, and i liked it. My song is called 'My Best Friend' and it is about my best friend named Elizabeth. After camp we went to a shoe store called Smith Shoes and we looked for a kind of shoe called Toms, and of course, they didn't have my size. My family and i have looked everywhere fro Toms, but they just don't have my size! When we got home from the shoe store, we watched a James Bond movie called Quantum of Solace. It was really good! Right now, after i am done writing my blog, we are going out to dinner. So that's about all... see ya!
